Media Advisory: Sedgwick County Presidential Caucus



Wichita, KS- Sedgwick County Republican Party Chairman Todd Johnson announces the March 5, 2016, Republican Presidential Caucus for Sedgwick County.

Chairman Johnson states,  “The Caucus gives all registered Republicans opportunity to cast a ballot for the Republican Presidential nominee of their choice and help determine which candidates receive the votes of Kansas’ 40 delegates at the Republican National Convention.”

“Our Caucus will be held at Century II Exhibition Hall, 225 W Douglas.  The doors will open for check-in at 8 AM, and voting runs from 10 AM to 2 PM.”

State Party Chairman Kelly Arnold stated, “We are seeing a phenomenal amount of support from county parties across the state. Republicans are excited about the opportunity to participate in this historic nomination process.”

“With Sedgwick County hosting one of the largest single caucus locations in the nation we are already attracting interest from Presidential Campaigns in visiting.”

In order to participate in the caucus, participants are required to have registered as Republican by February 4th, 2016 and must provide a photo ID at the caucus location.  The Caucus process is free, fast, and simple.  After checking-in, voters will hear short presentations by representatives of each candidate and then receive a ballot to vote.  Pre-check in is available by visiting
